Do you have a question about the INFOSEC UPS SYSTEM M5T Series and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The device described in this manual is an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system, specifically the Infosec M5T series. This series includes models with various power ratings (10k, 15k, 20k, 30k, 40k, 60k kVA) and voltage configurations (HV for 380/400/415V and LV for 208/220V). The M5T series offers both standard and long-run models, with long-run models (WOB/S versions) designed to operate without internal batteries.

Function Description:

The UPS system provides continuous power to connected loads, protecting them from power fluctuations, outages, and other electrical disturbances. It operates in various modes, including AC mode (normal operation), Battery mode (during power outages), and Bypass mode (supplying power directly from the mains). The system is designed for commercial and industrial applications.

Key functions include:

  • Power Conversion: Converts incoming AC power to DC to charge batteries and then back to stable AC power for the load.
  • Battery Backup: Provides power from internal or external batteries during mains failures, ensuring uninterrupted operation of critical equipment.
  • Bypass Operation: Can supply power directly from the mains to the load, either automatically or manually, in case of UPS fault or overload.
  • Constant Voltage Constant Frequency (CVCF) Mode: Ensures a stable output voltage and frequency, independent of input variations.
  • ECO Mode: An energy-saving mode that allows the UPS to operate with higher efficiency by utilizing the bypass line when mains power is stable.
  • Parallel System Capability: Certain models (10k, 15k, 20k kVA HV and 10kVA LV) can be configured in parallel to increase capacity or redundancy.
  • Communication and Monitoring: Equipped with RS-232, USB, and an intelligent slot for SNMP or RS485 cards, allowing for local and remote monitoring and management via software like Infopower. Dry contact ports are also available for external signals and alarm reporting.
  • Emergency Power Off (EPO): A safety feature that immediately cuts off the UPS output in an emergency.
