*For IWL220 Terminals; to avoid the Terminals from running out of battery during downloads; it is recommended that
the Terminal is placed on the charging/communication base when performing downloads.
The procedure described below should be performed either at the beginning of the day before a transaction is
performed, or at the end of the day after a successful settlement.
Note: A settlement must be performed before attempting this update.
1. From the idle menu / screen saver press the [#] key to access the Admin menu.
2. If prompted for Manager Password please contact Chase Client Support at 1.800.265.5158 for assistance. If not,
continue with next steps.
3. Press [4] or scroll to Maintenance and press Enter.
4. Press [1] for Download.
5. Press [0] for CONFIGURE.
6. Press [1] for Partial.
7. Press the button that corresponds to your connection type: [0] for Dial, [1] for Ethernet.
- If Dial is selected follow these steps:
Press [0] for the highest baud rate available.
Press Enter for Model.
Press Enter for Application Name.
Press Enter for Terminal ID.
Press [6] for Advanced CFG.
Press [1] for Packet Size.
Press [4] to confirm packet size is 4K.
Press [1] for DOWNLOAD.
Terminal connects for download. No action required.
- If Ethernet is selected follow these steps:
Press Enter on the IP Type menu.
Press Enter for Host IP/Name.
Press Enter for Host Port.
Press [0] to enable SSL.
Press Enter for Model.
Press Enter for Application Name.
Press Enter for Terminal ID.
Press [1] for DOWNLOAD.
Or
Press [6] for Advanced CFG.
Press [1] for Packet Size.
Press [4] to confirm packet size is 4K.
Press [1] for DOWNLOAD.
Terminal connects for download. No action required.
During the update process the files will be unzipped and installed, and the terminal will reboot several times. Do not
press any buttons while the device is updating.
Once the download is completed the terminal prints a receipt showing Download Done and it goes back to the Idle
menu / Screen Saver and is ready to use.
