What to do if my Ingersoll-Rand Force 5i does not lift load or does not lift rated capacity?

If your Ingersoll-Rand Winches does not lift the load or does not lift to its rated capacity, consider the following: * Remove and disassemble the motor as described in “MAINTENANCE” on page 6 and examine all parts and replace any that are worn or damaged if the motor may be damaged. * Verify the air supply pressure and volume at the winch inlet meets the requirements listed in the “SPECIFICATIONS” section in the Product Information Manual and clean the air line filter if there is insufficient air supply. * Check that the brake release pilot hole is not restricted and that the seals on the cylinder piston are not damaged if the brake is not releasing. The brake will start to release at 50 psig (3.5 bar/350 kPa). * Reduce the load to within the rated capacity if the winch is overlo...
