Using analog audio
When you connect a home theater system to the AUDIO OUT/ jack, the TV speakers are muted.
To connect a home theater system or sound bar using analog audio:
1 Make sure that your TVs power cord is unplugged and the home theater system or sound bar is turned off.
2 Connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not provided) to the AUDIO OUT/ jack on the side of your TV and to the
AUDIO IN jacks on the analog home theater system or sound bar.
3 Plug your TVs power cord into a power outlet, then turn on your TV and the home theater system.
Notes
For information about selecting the audio out mode for a home theater
or sound bar, see the Headphone/Audio Out option in “Adjusting
sound settings” on page 40.
If you want to use headphones, you need to disconnect the home
theater system or sound bar.
