My washer is
leaking water.
The door gasket is
damaged.
• Make sure that the gasket is seated
and not torn. Objects left in
pockets may cause damage to your
washer.
The door gasket is not
damaged.
• Water may drip from the door
when the door is opened. This is
normal.
• Carefully wipe off the rubber door
gasket. Sometimes dirt or clothing
is left in this seal and can cause a
small leak.
Check the back left side of
your washer for water.
• If this area is wet, you may have
oversudsing. Use less detergent.
Fill hoses or drain hose
may be improperly
connected.
• Make sure that hose connections
are tight at the washer and faucets,
and make sure that the end of the
drain hose is correctly inserted in
and secured to the drain pipe.
Your household drain may
be clogged.
• Check your household plumbing.
You may need to call a plumber.
The detergent dispenser
may be clogged.
• Powdered detergent may cause
clogs inside the dispenser and
cause water to leak out the front of
the dispenser. Remove the drawer
and clean both the drawer and the
inside of the dispenser box. See
Cleaning the dispenser drawer on
page 36.
You are using the wrong
detergent or the wrong
amount of detergent.
• Use only HE detergent and the
correct amount.
The detergent dispenser
drawer is cracked or
damaged.
• Check for cracks or damage on the
inside of the dispenser drawer.
