Understanding error codes
Your washer has an automatic error-monitoring system to detect and diagnose
problems at an early stage.
CAUTION:
Don’t try to repair your washer yourself. Doing so invalidates the warranty.
CODE REASON SOLUTION
E30 The door is not closed
properly.
• Restart your washer after the door is closed.
• Check to make sure that there are no clothes
stuck in the door.
E10 A water injection problem
has occurred while
washing.
• Check to make sure that water is turned on to
the washer
• Check to make sure that the water pressure is
high enough.
• Straighten the water hoses.
• Check to make sure that the inlet valve filter is
not blocked.
E21 Water is draining slowly. • Make sure that the drain hose is not blocked.
• Clean the drain filter.
E12 Water is overflowing. Restart your washer.
EXX Others Try restarting your washer. If the error remains or a
different error code is displayed, contact qualified
service personnel.
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
My washer is not
draining, not
spinning, or not
agitating.
The load is out of balance. • Redistribute the clothes and run
Rinse & Spin.
• Increase the load size if you are
washing a small load containing
both heavy and light items.
The pump is clogged. • See Cleaning the pump filter
on
page 36 on how to clean the pump
filter.
The drain hose is kinked or
improperly connected.
• Straighten the drain hose and
make sure that your washer is not
sitting on it.
Your household drain may
be clogged.
• Check your household plumbing.
You may need to call a plumber.
The drain hose is
siphoning or the drain
hose is pushed too far
down the drain.
• Make sure that there is an air gap
between the hose and the drain.
