Function Description
The Insignia .7 Cu. Ft. Compact Microwave is designed for heating, cooking, or drying food. It offers a compact design suitable for countertops or kitchen carts. The microwave features 11 power levels and 9 preset functions for various cooking needs, including popcorn, potato, pizza, frozen vegetables, beverages, and dinner plates. It also includes express cook, add 30 seconds, and defrost functions. The internal light allows users to monitor their food's progress.

Usage Features
The microwave offers a range of features for convenient cooking:
Control Panel:
- Display: Shows time in standby mode, and cooking time, weight, and other information in cooking mode.
- Time Cook: Sets desired cooking time (up to 99 minutes and 99 seconds).
- Power: Sets the power level (0-10).
- Clock: Sets or checks the current time (12-hour display).
- Kitchen Timer: Sets a countdown timer (up to 99 minutes and 99 seconds).
- Auto Menu Buttons: Popcorn, Potato, Pizza, Frozen Vegetable, Beverage, Dinner Plate for automatic cooking of specific items.
- Express Cook: Quickly starts cooking for 1 to 6 minutes at 100% power, or adds 30 seconds to cooking time during operation.
- Number Pad: Used to enter cook time, defrost time, clock time, and other information.
- Stop/Cancel: Stops the cooking process or cancels the operation.
- Time Defrost: Defrosts food by time (up to 99 minutes and 99 seconds), with a default power level of PL3 (30%).
- Weight Defrost: Defrosts food by weight (4 to 100 ounces), with automatic time and power adjustment.
- 0/Memory: Used to choose and save memorized cooking procedures (up to three).
Cooking Modes:
- Microwave Cooking: Allows manual setting of cook time and power level.
- Quick Cooking: Starts cooking at 100% power for 30 seconds with a single press, or for 1-6 minutes by pressing the corresponding number button. Time can be increased in 30-second increments.
- Auto Menus: Pre-programmed settings for common foods, eliminating the need to set cook time.
- Memorized Procedures: Users can save up to three custom cooking procedures, including multi-stage cooking.
- Multi-stage Cooking: Allows programming of two consecutive cooking stages, each with its own time and power level. Time or weight defrost can be set as the first stage.
Convenience Features:
- Mute Function: Allows users to turn off the beep sounds by pressing and holding the "8" button for three seconds.
- ECO Mode: Saves power by turning off the display when the microwave is in standby mode with the door closed.
- Child Lock: Locks the microwave to prevent unintended operation. Activated by pressing and holding "Stop/Cancel" for three seconds in standby mode.
Cookware and Materials:
- The manual provides detailed tables of materials that can be used and materials to be avoided in the microwave, along with a utensil test procedure.
- A glass turntable and turntable ring assembly are included and must always be used.
Maintenance Features
Cleaning:
- Exterior: Clean with a damp cloth, mild soap, and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Door: Wipe the window, door, seals, and adjacent parts with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners.
- Control Panel: Wipe with a slightly damp cloth (water only) with the door open. Avoid scrubbing or chemical cleaners.
- Interior: Wipe with a soft cloth and warm water. For baked-on food, use baking soda or mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Waveguide Cover: Located on the side wall, it is made of mica and requires careful cleaning with a damp cloth to remove food spatters to ensure good microwave performance and prevent smoke or fire. Do not remove the cover.
- Turntable: Remove and wash in mild, sudsy water or in the top rack of a dishwasher.
- Odor Removal: Combine water, lemon peel, lemon juice, and whole cloves in a glass measuring cup, boil for several minutes at 100% power, then let it cool before wiping the interior.
General Maintenance:
- Ensure proper grounding by connecting to a properly grounded outlet.
- Do not operate the oven if damaged, especially if the door, hinges, latches, or seals are compromised.
- Do not overcook food.
- Do not use the oven cavity for storage.
- Ensure adequate ventilation by providing enough open space for the vents.
- Do not block intake or outlet openings.
- Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces and prevent it from hanging over edges where it could be pulled or tripped over.
