Removing the Old Disposer

Step 1: Disconnect Power

Instructions to turn off electric power at the fuse box or circuit breaker.

Step 2: Disconnect Drain and Dishwasher

Disconnect drain trap and dishwasher from the disposer.

Step 3: Loosen Mounting Lug

Step 7: Remove Snap Ring

Step 8: Remove Flange

Installing the New Disposer

Step 10: Apply Plumbers Putty

Step 11: Press Flange into Drain

Step 12: Insert Gasket and Rings

Step 13: Secure with Snap Ring

Step 14: Tighten Mounting Screws

Step 18: Connect Electrical Supply

Connect disposer wires to the electrical supply.

Step 24: Reconnect Plumbing

Connect white wire to neutral, black to hot, and ground wire to green screw.

Step 26: Insert Sink Baffle

Insert Quiet Collar Sink Baffle into sink opening and test for leaks.

Step 21: Attach Discharge Tube
