6. 36kHz Hand piece output measurements
With the hand piece connected to the
console ready for normal use and in the
STANDBY state, set the displays to:
Aspiration = 100%, Irrigation = 5cc/min,
Amplitude = 100%, Tissue Select = ‘STD’
Tips fitted should be ‘Standard’ or
‘Standard extended’.
1. Switch the console to the RUN state
2. Hold the hand piece vertical approximately
1 metre from the ground
3. Depress the amplitude pedal of the footswitch
until the power meter display stabilises then take
the ‘Q’ power and frequency readings
4. Release the footswitch
