The ‘RES’ or (Reserve) power is the electrical power which can be
called upon by the console / hand piece combination to maintain the
amplitude at the set value and frequency when the hand piece tip is
loaded in use
This is a calculated value as follows:
Max power – Q power = Res power
This value must be a minimum of 25Watts
A worked example to record
Q power = 20 Watts (a pass value), Max power = 55 Watts
55 – 20 = 35 Watts (a pass value)
