Flight
Basic Flight Principles - There are four controllable
directions:
• Roll Axis: Movement to the left or right
• Pitch Axis: Movement forward or backward
• Yaw Axis: Adjust the heading of the UAV
• Thrust: Ascend or descend along the yaw axis

The control mode is called Mode 2. In this mode:
Roll
Pitch
Yaw
The left control stick controls
Thrust and Yaw
The right control stick controls
Pitch, Roll and Yaw
Thrust: Up = Ascend, Down =
Descend
Pitch: Up = Fly forward, Down = Fly
backward
Yaw: Left = Turn heading left, Right =
Turn heading right
Roll: Left = Fly left, Right = Fly right

The upper part of the right control stick can be turned, which controls the yaw movement
of the UAV. This special function makes controlling the UAV very intuitive, as all controls to
move the UAV in the horizontal pane are accessible with a single hand.

Note that all directional indications are always referring to the point of view of the UAV. Depending on where
the UAV is heading, directions may be dierent from the point of view of the pilot.
