4 Turn on your PC.
5 Verify that your scanner works by scanning a sample bar code.
Follow these tips for best scanning results:
• Make sure the scanner is at a slight angle to the bar code.
• Make sure the laser beam crosses the entire bar code.
• If you have the XLR version, make sure you are at least
122 cm (4 ft) from the bar code.
Note: If your system does not provide power to the
scanner, you need to attach a power supply to the
scanner cable and plug the other end into a wall
outlet.
