      If your Intex Water Pump filter motor won't start, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the filter cord is securely plugged into a 3-wire outlet protected by a Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, or RCD. If the GFCI/RCD circuit breaker has tripped, reset it. If it repeatedly trips, there may be an electrical defect, so turn off the breaker and consult an electrician. Lastly, the motor might be too hot, causing the overload protection to shut off; in this case, allow the motor to cool down.

      If your Intex Water Pump isn't pumping water effectively or the water flow is very slow, start by checking for clogged inlets or discharges and clear any obstructions in the intake hose. Ensure there are no air leaks on the intake line by tightening hose nuts and inspecting hoses for damage, also verify the pool water level. Replace the cartridge if there's scale or buildup. For an excessively dirty pool, clean the cartridge more often. Also, ensure you clean inside the plunger valve. Verify that the nozzle and strainer connection are properly oriented by pulling the valve handle to the full upright position and install the nozzle at the upper position of the pool inlet, and the strainer at the lower position of the pool outlet.

      If your Intex Water Pump isn't working, start by checking the water level and fill the pool to the correct level. Clean the strainer screens at the pool inlet, as they might be plugged up. Inspect the intake hose for air leaks, tightening hose nuts and checking for damage. Clear any sticks or leaves in the intake hose, as a faulty motor or jammed impeller could be the cause. Lastly, address any air lock inside the cartridge chamber by turning and pulling the valve handle to the full upright position.

      If the inlet threaded air connector or air jet valve on your Intex Water Pump is leaking, ensure the plunger valve is well-fitted by tightening or reinstalling it. Make sure the air jet valve is tight and facing up. If the air jet valve internal seal is blocked, turn the pump ON and run for a few seconds, then turn it OFF, repeating this process three times. If the internal seal is dirty, remove the air jet valve, flush out any dirt with water, and replace the valve. If the air jet valve is broken, replace it with a new one.

      If you have an air lock in your Intex Water Pump, it means there’s air trapped in the pump housing and inlet hose. To resolve this, open the air release valve and wait until water starts to flow out of the valve, then close it. Also, ensure that the inlet and outlet hoses are connected correctly, with the lower position of the pool outlet connected to the filter pump water inlet and the upper position of the pool inlet connected to the filter pump water outlet.
