Why is my Intex Water Pump filter motor not starting?
    • T
      Timothy OwensAug 15, 2025
If the Intex Water Pump filter motor fails to start, ensure the line cord is plugged into a 3-wire outlet protected by a Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, or RCD. Also, reset the GFCI/RCD circuit breaker; if it repeatedly trips, have an electrician check your electrical system. Finally, if the motor is too hot, let it cool down before restarting.

What to do if my Intex ECO15220-2 filter doesn’t pump water or flow is very slow?
    • D
      downscathyAug 18, 2025
If your Intex Water Pump filter doesn’t pump water or the flow is very slow, check for clogged inlets or discharge and clear any obstructions in the intake hose. Also, look for air leaks on the intake line, tightening hose nuts and checking for damage. Clean the pre-filtering basket more often if the pool is excessively dirty. Backwash the filter if the sand media is clogged with dirt. Ensure the nozzle and strainer connections are correctly installed and remove about 1” of sand if there's crusting. Remove any pool vacuuming devices attached to the system line. Finally, ensure the inlet threaded air connector is connected to the pool inlet upper hole.

    • R
      Roger JensenAug 21, 2025
If the Intex Water Pump doesn’t work, ensure the pool is filled to the correct water level. Clean the strainer screens at the pool inlet. Check for air leaks on the intake hose, and tighten hose nuts, inspecting the hose for damage. If these steps don't resolve the issue, contact the Intex service center, as the motor may be faulty or the impeller jammed.

How to troubleshoot an Intex ECO15220-2 Water Pump filter that doesn’t clean pool?
    • R
      Robert BrownAug 25, 2025
If your Intex Water Pump filter isn’t cleaning the pool, adjust the chlorine and pH levels. Load the tank with filter sand according to the “sand loading instructions”. Ensure the 6-way valve is set to the “FILTER” position. Operate the filter for longer periods if the pool is excessively dirty. Clean the strainer screen at the inlet to ensure it is not restricting water flow.

How to fix an Intex ECO15220-2 when inlet threaded air connector/air jet valve is leaking?
    • K
      Kathleen MarquezSep 8, 2025
If the inlet threaded air connector/air jet valve on your Intex Water Pump is leaking, tighten or reinstall the plunger valve. Ensure the air jet valve is tight and facing up. If the internal seal is blocked, turn the pump ON and run for a few seconds, then turn OFF, repeat 3 times. If the internal seal is dirty, remove the air jet valve, flush dirt out with water, and replace the valve back. If the air jet valve is broken, replace it with a new one.
