What to do if my Intex ECO 20110 Water Pump filter doesn’t clean the pool?
    • C
      Craig MoralesAug 18, 2025
If your Intex Water Pump filter isn't effectively cleaning the pool, consider the following: * Ensure proper chlorine and pH levels. Adjust as necessary. * Make sure there is filtering media in the tank; load with filter sand. * Verify the 6-way valve setting position is set to “FILTER”. * If the pool is excessively dirty, operate the filter for longer periods. * If there is dirt or sand on the pool floor, use an Intex pool vacuum to clean the bottom of the pool. * If the basket is restricting the water flow, clean the basket.

What does it mean if there are white flakes in the water when using Intex ECO 20110?
    • S
      Sydney TerrellAug 28, 2025
If you observe white flakes in the water while using your Intex Water Pump, it indicates excessive calcium hardness. To address this, drain about 20 to 25% of the pool water and add fresh water to decrease the calcium hardness. Also, inspect the electrolytic cell for scale buildup and clean it if necessary.

Why does my Intex ECO 20110 have insufficient chlorine?
    • C
      carriegreerAug 31, 2025
If your Intex Water Pump shows insufficient chlorine, consider these factors: * Chlorine loss may be due to intense sunlight exposure. Use a pool cover when the pool is not in use or when the unit is operating. * If the bather load has increased, increase the daily Saltwater System operating time. * A clogged or dirty electrolytic cell can cause this issue. Remove the cell for inspection and clean it if necessary. * High UV level exposure may be the cause. Cover the pool with a pool cover for 2 days with the device running, then test the water using the test strips.

Why is sand flowing back into the pool from my Intex ECO 20110?
    • S
      smithsaraSep 3, 2025
If sand is flowing back into the pool from your Intex Water Pump: * Ensure you are using only No. 20 silica sand with a particle size range of 0.45 to 0.85 mm (0.018 to 0.033 inches) and a Uniformity Coefficient less than 1.75, as the sand may be too small. * The sand bed might be calcified; if so, change the sand.

Why is my Intex ECO 20110 filter not pumping water or the flow is very slow?
    • C
      Chad CochranNov 13, 2025
If your Intex Water Pump isn't pumping water or the flow is slow, consider these potential causes: * The inlet or discharge may be clogged. Clear any obstructions in the intake hose by discharging it inside the pool wall. * There might be an air leak on the intake line. Tighten hose nuts and check hoses for damage. Also, check the pool water level. * If the pool is excessively dirty, clean the pre-filtering basket more often. * The sand media could be clogged with dirt. Backwash the filter. * The nozzle and strainer connections might be reversed. Install the nozzle at the upper position of the pool inlet and the strainer at the lower position of the pool outlet. * There might be crusting or caking on the filtering sand surface. Remove about 1” of sand if necessary. * A pool ...
