Why is my Intex Swimming Pool Filter not pumping water or the flow is very slow?
    • S
      Sarah McdonaldAug 19, 2025
If your Intex Swimming Pool Filter isn't pumping water effectively, it could be due to several reasons. Check for clogs in the inlet or discharge and clear any obstructions in the intake hose. Ensure there are no air leaks on the intake line by tightening hose nuts, inspecting hoses for damage, and verifying the pool water level. Replace the cartridge if there's scale or buildup. If the pool is excessively dirty, clean the cartridge more often. Also, ensure the vacuum release valve on the plunger valve is in the full upright position. If water leaks from the vacuum release valve, turn off the pump, and the release valve needs replacement. Contact Intex Service Center immediately to order a replacement.

Why is my Intex CS7111 not cleaning the pool?
    • S
      Sheila HarrisonAug 21, 2025
If your Intex Swimming Pool Filter isn't effectively cleaning the pool, consider these factors: improper sanitizer or pH levels may be the cause, so adjust them accordingly. A dirty filter cartridge can also hinder performance; clean or replace it. Inspect the cartridge for holes and replace it if damaged. If the pool is excessively dirty, operate the filter for longer periods. Lastly, check the strainer screen at the inlet and clean it if it's restricting water flow.

What to do if my Intex CS7111 Swimming Pool Filter pump doesn't work?
    • J
      Jennifer CaseyAug 25, 2025
If your Intex Swimming Pool Filter pump isn't working, check the following: ensure the water level is correct. Clean the strainer screens at the pool inlet if they're plugged. Tighten hose nuts and check for hose damage to prevent air leaks on the intake hose. Clear any sticks or leaves in the intake hose to prevent air lock inside the cartridge chamber and motor chamber. If the service light is on, contact Intex Service Center.

What to do if my Intex Swimming Pool Filter motor fails to start?
    • M
      Michele Ponce MDAug 26, 2025
If your Intex Swimming Pool Filter motor won't start, there are several potential reasons. First, ensure the filter cord is plugged into a 3-wire outlet protected by a Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, or RCD. Also, check that the switch is turned on. If the GFCI circuit breaker has tripped, reset it; if it repeatedly trips, your electrical system may have a defect, so turn off the breaker and consult an electrician. Finally, the motor may be too hot; allow it to cool down.

Why is there insufficient chlorine in my Intex Swimming Pool?
    • R
      Robert SinghAug 28, 2025
Insufficient chlorine in your Intex Swimming Pool can occur due to several reasons: * Insufficient operating hours of the Saltwater System, so increase the daily operating time. * The salt level in the pool water is less than 2000ppm, so check the salt level with the Test Kit and adjust as needed. * Chlorine loss due to intense sunlight exposure, so use a pool cover when the pool is not in use or when the unit is operating. * The bather load has increased, so increase the daily Saltwater System operating time. * A clogged or dirty electrolytic cell, so remove the cell for inspection and clean it if necessary. * High UV level exposure, so cover the pool with a pool cover for 2 days with the device running and then test the water using the test strips.

How to fix a leaking top cover on my Intex Swimming Pool Filter?
    • T
      Trevor SteinAug 30, 2025
If the top cover of your Intex Swimming Pool Filter is leaking, first remove the cover and check for a missing O-ring. If the O-ring is in place, ensure the cover is tightened manually. Also, a dirty filter cartridge can cause leaks, so replace or clean the cartridge.

Why is there an air lock in my Intex CS7111?
    • K
      Kimberly MoralesSep 2, 2025
An air lock in your Intex Swimming Pool Filter can occur if air is trapped in the pump housing and inlet hose; open the air release valves, lift and lower the inlet hose until water flows out, then close the valves. Also, ensure the inlet and outlet hoses are correctly connected: the lower pool outlet connects to the filter pump water inlet, and the upper pool inlet connects to the filter pump water outlet.

Why is there insufficient copper ion level in my Intex Swimming Pool?
    • M
      Mary AllenSep 4, 2025
Insufficient copper ion level in your Intex Swimming Pool may be due to insufficient operating hours, so increase operating time per day. If the PH is too high, use PH decrease chemical to adjust, contact your local pool chemical store. If the bather load has increased, increase the operating time per day. Also, check for a clogged or dirty copper electrode, and clean it if necessary. If the copper electrode is defective, contact Intex Service Center.

Why is my Intex Swimming Pool stained?
    • A
      Andrew SnowSep 9, 2025
If your Intex Swimming Pool is stained, it could be due to a high copper ion concentration. Drain about 20% of the pool water and add fresh water to decrease the copper ion concentration below 0.2ppm. You can also add aluminum sulfate (around 2g per 1000 liters of water) or aluminum potassium sulfate (around 3g per 1000 liters of water). Additionally, use a lemon-based cleaning product, preferably containing citric acid, but avoid aggressive scrubbing that might etch the surface.
