What causes green hair in an Intex Swimming Pool?
    • C
      Casey CampbellSep 12, 2025
Green hair in an Intex Swimming Pool can be caused by a high copper ion concentration. Drain about 20% of the pool water and add fresh water to decrease the copper ion concentration below 0.2ppm. You can also add aluminum sulfate (around 2g per 1000 liters of water) or aluminum potassium sulfate (around 3g per 1000 liters of water). To remove the green tint, use ‘Ultra-Swim’ shampoo or a shampoo containing chelating agents.

Why are there white flakes in the water of my Intex Swimming Pool?
    • J
      jenniferchaseSep 13, 2025
White flakes in your Intex Swimming Pool water often indicate excessive calcium hardness. Drain about 20 to 25% of the pool water and add fresh water to decrease the calcium hardness. Also, inspect the electrolytic cell for scale buildup and clean it if necessary.

What to do if there is no LED display on my Intex Swimming Pool device?
    • J
      Jeanette NewmanSep 16, 2025
If there is no LED display on your Intex Swimming Pool device, first ensure the cell cord is firmly plugged into the cell housing receptacle. Then, reset the RCD/GFCI. If a power fuse has blown or there is an LED failure, contact Intex Service Center. If incorrect switching occurred (pressing two buttons together), shut down and turn on the power again, then reset the time.
