  The Intex Swimming Pool Pump filter motor might fail to start due to several reasons: it may not be plugged into a 3-wire outlet protected by a Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, or RCD; the fuse box or GFCI/RCD circuit breaker might need resetting (if it trips repeatedly, there may be an electrical system defect requiring an electrician); or the motor may be too hot, causing the overload protection to shut off. In the latter case, let the motor cool down before restarting.

  If sand is flowing back into your Intex Swimming Pool, it may be because the sand is too small. Use only No. 20 silica sand with a particle size range of 0.45 to 0.85 mm (0.018 to 0.033 inches) and a Uniformity Coefficient less than 1.75. Alternatively, the sand bed may be calcified, in which case you should change the sand.
