      If you hear excessive clicking coming from the motor or gearbox of your Invacare Wheelchair, replace the motor or gearbox if there is a bad bearing in either. Also, tighten any loose wheel hardware, using removable Loctite™ on the hardware, and follow the torque settings specified in this manual.

      If the motor of your Invacare Wheelchair makes a clicking noise, replace the coupler if there is a bad coupler between the motor and gearbox. If the bearings are bad, replace the motor. Additionally, if there is a raised commutator plate inside the motor, ohm out the motor. Replace the motor if a high reading is present; a normal reading is 0.2-5 Ohms.
