The isinwheel GT2 electric scooter is designed as a leisure device, offering a fun and convenient way to travel. It is important to remember that when used in public areas, it is considered a vehicle and is subject to associated risks. Users are advised to follow all instructions in the manual, as well as local traffic laws and regulations, to ensure safety. The scooter is designed for easy assembly and features a user-friendly control panel to manage its various functions.
Function Description
The isinwheel GT2 electric scooter is primarily designed for personal transportation. It features an electric motor that propels the scooter forward, controlled by an accelerator. The scooter offers three riding modes—ECO, STD, and TURBO—allowing users to select the appropriate speed and power level for their journey. It is equipped with a braking system, including a disc brake, for effective stopping. For visibility and safety, the scooter includes a headlight, turn signals, and ambient lights on the deck. A display panel provides essential information such as speed, battery level, riding mode, and total mileage.
Usage Features
- Assembly: The scooter comes partially assembled and requires a few simple steps to get it ready for use. This involves lifting the T-bar upright, securing the handlebars, and adjusting them to the desired height. A tool kit is provided for this purpose.
- Power On/Off: To turn on the scooter, press the power switch for 1-3 seconds. The LCD display will illuminate, indicating that the scooter is ready.
- Lights: The headlight and ambient lights can be activated by pressing the headlight button after the scooter is powered on, enhancing visibility during rides.
- Start Modes: The scooter supports two start modes:
- Zero Start: After power-on, pressing the accelerator will immediately engage the motor and propel the scooter forward. The throttle is active even when the scooter is stationary.
- Non-zero/Kick-and-go Start: In this mode, the user must kick-and-go to initiate movement before the throttle becomes operational.
- Riding Modes: Users can switch between ECO (low-speed), STD (standard), and TURBO (high-speed) modes using the +/- keys on the control panel. The default mode upon power-on is ECO.
- Control Panel Display: The control panel provides comprehensive information at a glance, including:
- Gear Value: Indicates the current riding mode (ECO, STD, TURBO).
- Real-time Speed: Displays the current speed in MPH or Km/h.
- Battery Level: Shown as a 5-bar indicator and battery voltage.
- Total Mileage: Tracks the overall distance traveled.
- Single Mileage: Shows the distance covered in the current trip.
- Controller Current Indicator Bar: Provides feedback on current usage.
- Maximum and Average Speed: Records these metrics for the current ride.
- Error Codes: Alerts the user to potential issues.
- Other Indicators: Includes fault, locking, cruise, USB charging, headlights, Bluetooth, dual drive, and single drive indicators.
- Riding Basics:
- Safety Gear: Always wear a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads, especially for beginners.
- Starting: Stand with one foot on the deck and use the other foot to push off. Once the scooter starts moving (exceeding 3 mph), place both feet on the deck and press the accelerator.
- Braking: Release the accelerator to engage the kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) for slow braking. For sudden stops, squeeze the brake lever.
- Turning: Lean your body in the desired direction and gently turn the handlebar.
- Safety Guidelines:
- Avoid riding in the rain.
- Maintain a medium or low speed (5 mph) over speed bumps, elevator door sills, bumpy roads, or uneven surfaces, bending knees slightly to absorb shock.
- Be aware of doors, elevators, and overhead obstacles.
- Do not accelerate when going downhill.
- Do not press the accelerator while walking alongside the scooter.
- Always steer clear of obstacles.
- Keep both feet on the deck at all times.
- Do not hang bags or heavy items on the handlebar.
- Avoid riding in traffic lanes or residential areas shared with vehicles and pedestrians.
- Do not turn the handlebar violently at high speeds.
- Do not ride in water deeper than 20mm.
- Do not ride with passengers, including children.
- Keep feet off the rear mudguard.
- Do not touch the disc brake immediately after use as it may be hot.
- Do not attempt to ride up or down stairs or jump over obstacles.
- Mode Settings: Advanced settings can be accessed by pressing and holding the 'M' and 'Light' buttons for about 10 seconds. These settings include:
- Kilometer/mile selection.
- Voltage level (default 48V, not recommended for adjustment).
- Wheel diameter (default 10 inches, not recommended for adjustment).
- Number of magnetic poles for speed measurement (default 30, not recommended for adjustment).
- Cruise control on/off.
- Zero start/non-zero start.
- Top speed setting (10%-100%, 00 means 100%).
- Sleep time setting (default 5 minutes).
- Backlight brightness adjustment (Level 1 darkest, Level 3 brightest).
- Restore factory default parameters.
- Travel distance reset (ODO).
Maintenance Features
- Cleaning: For stains on the scooter's body, wipe with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, apply toothpaste and brush gently before wiping. Avoid using alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive chemical solvents. Do not use high-pressure water sprays on the deck. Ensure the scooter is off, the charging cable is unplugged, and the rubber flap is closed during cleaning to prevent electric shock or water damage.
- Storage: Store the scooter indoors in a dry and cool place, ideally between 14°F and 104°F. Prolonged exposure to humidity, UV rays, rain, or extreme temperatures can damage the battery and enclosure materials.
- Battery Maintenance:
- Use only original battery packs and power adapters to prevent safety issues and damage.
- Avoid touching battery contacts or dismantling the casing to prevent short circuits, injuries, or death.
- Properly dispose of used batteries according to local regulations to protect the environment.
- Fully charge the battery after every use to prolong its lifespan.
- If the battery level is low, charge it as soon as possible.
- Charge the scooter every other month if not in regular use to preserve the battery.
- Avoid charging for more than 24 hours at a time, even though it has charging protection.
- Do not connect the charger if the charging port is wet. Keep the charging port closed when not charging.
- Disc Brake Adjustment: If the disc brake is too sensitive or not effective, adjustments can be made using a hex wrench.
- Sensitivity: Rotate the disc brake rocker down for less sensitivity or up for more. Reinstall screws to tighten the brake cable core.
- Noise: To eliminate noise, ensure the scooter is off. Loosen the two screws on the pump (not the rocker screw). Adjust the pump position so the brake disc is centered between the two brake pads and not touching them. Hold the pump in place and re-tighten the screws.
- Troubleshooting (Error Codes): The display panel may show error codes indicating specific issues:
- 03: Indicates poor contact in 3-phase wire terminals or Hall signal connector, or system startup time exceeding 2S due to heavy load (e.g., climbing, stuck wheels). If persistent after reconnecting, the controller or motor may be damaged.
- 04: Low battery voltage protection/under voltage protection.
- 06: Faulty Hall commutation signal of the motor or poor contact in the Hall signal connector. If persistent after reconnecting, the motor's Hall may be damaged.
- 07: Handlebar out of control, handlebar signal less than 0.75V, or handlebar twisted before system works. Resetting can clear this fault.
- 08: Controller failure.
- 10, 15: Controller cannot receive the dashboard signal.
- For any error codes or persistent issues, contact isinwheel Support Team.
- Tire Replacement: The tires are replaceable. For instructions, contact isinwheel support or search for "How to replace the offroad tire" on YouTube.
- Warranty: The scooter comes with a limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a specified period. Consumables, normal wear and tear, and damage from misuse or improper maintenance are not covered. A 30-day satisfaction guaranteed return policy allows for refunds if the product is returned within 30 days of shipment, provided all conditions are met.
