2. Make certain to apply the parking
brake and turn on hazard warning
lights, day or night.
Emergency starting
WARNING
Never tow the vehicle to start it
because the surge forward when
the engine starts could cause a
collision with the tow vehicle.
To start the vehicle when the battery is
discharged, use an auxiliary battery of the
same nominal voltage i.e. 12 volts, as the
discharged battery.

handling the battery to avoid
serious personal injury and
damage to your vehicle which
might result from a battery
explosion, acid burns, electrical
burns, or damaged electric
components.
