1. Introduction
This user manual is intended as a quick guide for the connecting and start-up of the
MANAGER IQ EASY and related equipment (devices). Please refer to the standard user
manual of the Manager IQ Easy for a detailed description of the installation and the basic
menus.
The different possibilities of the connected equipment using the Manager is described in detail
in the relevant device manual.
The term devices in this manual refers to Simco-Ion 24V DC equipment suitable for connecting
to the IQ Easy Manager.
The detailed user manuals are available as a PDF file on a USB flash drive which is supplied
with the product, they can also be downloaded from http://www.simco-ion.co.uk/our-
products/static-elimination/power-units/manager-iq-easy.
2. Safety
The following safety guidelines must be observed in order to prevent physical injury and
damage to objects or the Manager IQ Easy itself.
Warning:
- Electrical installation must be carried out by an electrical engineer with relevant training and
qualifications and in accordance with the applicable national and local regulations.
- The Manager IQ Easy must not be used in any environment where there are fire or
explosion hazards.
- The Manager IQ Easy must not be exposed to vibrations or shocks.
- Use the Manager only in combination with matching Simco-Ion equipment.
- Also read the manual of the equipment to be connected before commissioning.
- The Manager IQ Easy is not intended as a safety component in machines.
For this you can use the Manager IQ Easy with Safety Relay Option
(relay type OMRON G7S-4A2B-E DC24).
- Do not install the manager in dirty, damp or any other areas in which chemicals or other
corrosive materials are used.
