Filling water in the heating system
The heating system normally has an expansion vessel with a pressure
gauge.
This is what to do:
1. Open and close the tap between the cold water system and the heating
system in short time intervals.
2. Read the pressure on the pressure gauge.
3. Vent the system and refi ll to the correct pressure.
Note
The fi rst litres from the return pipe
are often contaminated. Therefore
collect these litres in a separate tank.
Connecting the heat pump to the heating system
Filling the heat transfer fl uid in the
collector hose
The collector hose is fi lled with heat transfer fl uid to be able to collect heat
from the ground. The fl uid is a mixture of water and anti-freeze. It should
have a freezing point of approximately -15ºC. The ratio between water and
anti-freeze can be seen in the tables on the following pages.
Proceed as follows to fi ll the collector hose with heat transfer fl uid:

1. Connect two hoses (1 inch in diameter) to both fi lling valves 1 and 2.
One of the hoses should have a submerged pump connected at the
other end. The submerged pump should be fi tted with a particle fi lter.
2. Place the hose and submerged pump in a barrel that holds 100 litres.
3. Fill the barrel with heat transfer fl uid. The relation between water and
heat transfer fl uid can be found in the tables 1 and 2. Fill the water
before anti-freeze liquid.
4. Open valves 1 and 2 and close valve 3.
5. Start the submerged pump. The circuit is automatically fi lled with heat
transfer fl uid.
6. Open valve 4 to the expansion vessel so that it fi lls with fl uid
(two thirds of the volume).
