Technical specications
Q Virtus ( 1) has two hydromassage pumps and one lter
pump. There is a lter on the edge of the tub to lter the water.
Q(where indicated)The water can be heated (or cooled) using a
Jacuzzi® Eco-Heat (CoolPower) heat pump which must be con-
nected to the hot tub (see the relevant documentation).

The electrical system that powers the hot tub must be sized for
maximum consumption (as shown in the relevant tables).
Where there is an insucient energy supply (models with
heater), an electronic limiter can still be activated; this reduces
consumption to 3.6 kW (when using a hydromassage pump, the
electric heater switches o).

User safety
Q If the system has been installed by qualied personnel in com-
pliance with the installation manual, there are no risks for the
user. Safety, however, is also related to correct use, as specied
in the manual; and the user must entrust tall the operations de-
scribed in the installation manual to a qualied professional.
Q Check that installers and those managing the system are qual-
ied, in compliance with the regulations in force in the country
where the product is installed.
Q
This appliance uses and generates radio waves: if it is not installed
and used as directed, it may cause interference with the reception of
radio and television programmes.
However, in special cases this may happen even if the instructions
provided are followed.
Preparing for installation
Q Semi-embedded models (with removable panels) ( 7)
Create a support base under the bottom of the tub (concrete,
steel H-beams).
The hot tub can be semi-embedded, so that only the base of the
hot tub is embedded and the lateral covering panels are free. In
this case, it is advisable to prepare removable duckboards (made
of marine plywood or similar) which, besides improving the look
of the installation, facilitate the removal of the panels. The meas-
urements for the recess on the oor are the same as the base of
the hot tub ( 1, 2a-b-c).
( 6) If you want to install the hot tub against multiple
walls, a suitable space must be ensured for removing the
panels and for any maintenance.
Q Embedded models
- ( 8) Create a support base under the bottom of the tub (con-
crete, steel H-beams), (det.1).
It is also necessary to ensure that the pipes under the tub are acces-
sible, for instance by creating a passage around the external perim-
eter of the tub. This passage must be wide enough (approx. 80 cm)
to house all the electrical and hydraulic connections and to allow for
any maintenance operations (det.2); it can be shut o with remov-
able boards (part.3), resting on suitable supports (det.4).
Any stagnant water must also be drained (det.5) and there must
be suitable ventilation.
QModels with Jacuzzi® Eco-Heat/CoolPower heat pump
- You must leave the sides where there are appliances to connect
to the heat pump free (3, part. D/D1).
- The heat pump can be positioned anywhere as long as it is no
further than 10 m away from the hot tub.
The heat pump must be installed in such a way that it cannot
be accessed by anyone without using keys or tools, and it must
be protected from water and weathering (it must also be suit-
ably ventilated).
