  If the Jasco Water Pump experiences 'TROUBLE UNDER PRESS' errors, it might be due to air bubbles in the pump head. To resolve this, open the purge valve to remove the air bubbles. Another cause could be a clogged inlet filter, especially if using buffer solutions; in this case, replace the inlet filter. Also, check for a leaking plunger seal and tighten the pump head securing screws. If leaking continues, replace the plunger seal. A leaking inlet tube fitting can also cause this issue; tighten the fitting. In some cases, the pump head might be deteriorating, requiring thorough cleaning with an acid or alkaline solution. If the leak occurs at the downstream side of the pump, refer to the appropriate manual.

  If your Jasco Water Pump displays 'TROUBLE OVER PRESS' errors, it may be due to a clog on the downstream side of the pump, such as in the manual injector, autosampler, column filter, tubing, or fittings. Refer to the appropriate manual for troubleshooting these components. Another cause could be a clogged line filter; replace it. If the internal damper or internal tubing is clogged, this requires service by trained JASCO service personnel. Contact your local JASCO distributor.

A decrease in the light intensity of the detector, due to light source or mirror deterioration, can also cause this issue; refer to the maintenance manual of the UV detector.

  If the bottom panel drain port of your Jasco Water Pump is leaking, it could be due to deterioration of the diaphragm on the plunger washing mechanism; in this case, replace the diaphragm. Alternatively, it may be due to leakage from the plunger seal. If the head mount flange hole is clogged, solvent will leak from the drain hole.
