Installation
The DSC to DSC communication cable must be RS-485 shielded, twisted
pair, communication cable with a controlled impedance of 120 Ohms,
Belden 9841 or equivalent.
Connection of the DSC to DSC communication will require the installation
of a CAN I/O PCB (see item #11 in drawing 5.2
DSC 100 Assembly)
connected to J16.
Commissioning
Systems using DSC to DSC communication in an independent rudder
system or master / slave autopilot arrangement need to have these
functions turned on. Dual synchronization is turned on through the DSC
Setup Software in the System Configuration Window (see section 4.1.1
) or
through the DSC menu of the keypad setup (see section 4.2.1
). Master /
Slave autopilot arrangement is turned on through the DSC Setup Software
in the Autopilot Configuration Window (see section 4.1.1
) or through the
Autopilot menu of the keypad setup (see section 4.2.4
).
