ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The electrical system in this folding camping trailer is
composed of 120-volt AC (alternating current) and 12-
volt DC (direct current) capabilities. All installations
are made in compliance with safety requirements of
ANSI standard A.1192, National Electric Code, and
Canadian Standards Association.
Changes, Modifications and Additions
Any changes or additions made after delivery may cause a hazardous condition. Be sure
to consult your local authorized dealer. Only qualified electrical technicians should
attempt to make changes or additions to our electrical system, using only approved
materials, components, and employing approved methods of installation, which meet
safety and code requirements.
120-Volt AC System
Your folding camping trailer is equipped with a power cord prewired into the convertor.
By opening the hatch door (Fig.4-5) you can pull the power cord out from compartment
and attach it to a power supply. Power cord is rated at 30-amps. For Canadian units, the
power cord is protected with a 30 amp main circuit breaker. This supplies 120-volt AC
power to camper receptacles built into walls and cabinet. Cord extends at least 20' from
camper depending on floor plan.
Extension cords should always be a heavy gauge of wire equal to the power cord. Usage
of too small a cord will result in overheating and possibly burning of the cord. DO NOT
leave an unused portion of an extension cord in a coil as it may overheat, short out wires,
and potentially destroy your extension cord.
WARNING: Do not use an adapter, cheater, or extension cord that will
break the continuity of the grounding circuit connected to the third pin.
NEVER remove the grounding pin to connect a non-grounded, two-prong
receptacle. It could mean the difference between life and death.
