CONVERTOR
YOLIT interior lights(s1 and the hhO series heater (optional) lvill
operate from the i2-vuft po:$,er source. If 110-volr AC is availrihlc,
the conveflor will transfnrn? this current to 12-volt.
This needs to
be switched manually. The TRANS position is used when thc
110-volt current needs to be transformed to 12 volt. The
BA'FTERY position is used n,hen ail current is to be rcccivcd from
battery either in tow vehicle
or optional a~rsiliary if used. The OFF
position is used for traveling or storage.
A 6 AMP convertor DOES NOT have a built-in battery charger.
A 20 AMP convertor in
Deluxe Series has a battery charger.
Convertors are standard in Jayco
Series 1208 % 1008 J-Series.

They rue optional in all other J-Series.
BATTERY (OPTIONAL)
AII Jayco units are pre-rtircd so that all interior 12-voll appliances
can be operated
when the tow vehicle and coach arc connected via
the ~viring harness. This is possible only if tht. dealer connects the
black wire
of the wire
harness
to a "hot" supply.
An auxiliary
battery may be installed to avoid discharging the vehicle battery.
Caution should
be used when drawing current from your tow
vehicle io avoid draining the battery to a point that the tow vehicle
will not
start.
For the "J" series an inline fuse for the interior circuit is installed,
located in the left front corner of the camper under the dinette seat.
The replacement fuse size is 8A.
Other jayeo model tent campers have the interior circuit directed
through the convertor.
WARNING: Do not replace circuit breakers or fuses with those of
a higher current rating than those supplied with the new camper.
Over-fusing can cause s fire hazard by overheating above the
temperature rating af the electrical wiring.
