AVOID
Tongue
Jack
Tires
Lug
bolts must
be
checked
at
50
and 200 miles when
your coach
is
new.
After
this,
lug
bolts should
be
periodically checked
for
safety, especialIy before
any
long
trip
and extensive
braking.
Tighten lug
bolts
to
85-95
ft,
pounds torque using a
cross tighten sequence
of
1-3-2-4.
Use
a
small quantity of
grease
on
moving mechan-
ism to insure ease
of opera-
tion.
On
coaches with surge
hydraulic brakes, there is
no lubrication needed
on
coupler assembly.
We recommended that you
use
conventional grease
on
the ball of hitch
for
ease
of
operation.
Lubricate the jack by
ex-
tending to full
down
posi-
tion and insert
SAE
30 oil
through oil hole
in
top
of
jack. Do this several
times
per
season.
It
is very important
to
check
tires often as noted
on
page
12
of Chapter
111.
DO

checking wheel
lag
bolts.
DO
NOT
ignore
checking
tire
P.S.I.
pressures
often.
