Dipper (AM) Operation
When pilot pressure is applied to port bl3, by operating the
left hand joystick controller, the spool E moves to the right
closing off the neutral gallery F. Oil from the pump P1 is
directed to the outlet port BL3 by lifting check valve G. At
the same time, pressure is appiled to the centre bypass
valve J. This causes oil from pump P2, flowing through the
neutral gallery F, to be re-directed into the dipper circuit.
Therefore the high pressure flow from both pumps is used
to raise the dipper. Oil returns to tank via port AL3.
When pilot pressure is applied to port al3, the reverse
operation occurs.
