Loader Valve
Dismantling
The illustration below shows a valve section with electrically
operated spool. Three spool loader valves will have this
section in the third spool position for operating optional
attachments.
Always work on a clean, dirt free surface.
1 Note orientation of solenoids 3 then unscrew
thumbscrews 1 and remove the seals 2 and the
solenoids.
2 Remove screws 4 and retainer plates 5. Remove outer
tubes 6 and inner pistons 7.
3 Remove spool 8 from the main body 9.
4 Refer to page E/16-8 and 16-9 for dismantling of the
remainder of the valve.
Note: Work on the operation sections individually. Do not
interchange parts from individual sections.
5 Clean all parts in kerosene, inspect and check for
damage.
Damaged sections should be replaced complete.
Inner pistons 7 must be replaced complete if the plunger,
spring or seal is damaged.
Assembly
Assembly is a reversal of the dismantling procedure.
Renew all seals and 'O' rings.
Lubricate all parts with hydraulic oil before assembly.
Tighten thumbscrews 1 hand tight only.
Before finally tightening the tie rod nuts, position the valve
assembly on its mounting feet and ensure the valve is sitting
flat.
