The hydraulic filter assembly is secured to the machine with
two bolts A and by a solid pipework return connection B to
the hydraulic tank. The return to tank incorporates a relief
valve which dumps hydraulic fluid directly to tank if the
element C becomes blocked.

WARNING
Make the machine safe before working underneath it.
Park the machine on level ground, lower the boom.
Apply the parking brake, put the transmission in neutral
and stop the engine. Chock both sides of all four wheels.

GEN-003
1 Stop the engine and wait for 5 minutes.
2 Open the engine compartment rear door.
3 Loosen the hydraulic filler cap and allow the pressure to
dissipate, then remove the cap.
4 Drain the hydraulic oil to below the level of the filter
return connection.
5 Disconnect and blank feed and return hoses.
6 Unscrew return connection B from tank.
7 Remove bolts A and withdraw filter assembly from

Replacement is a reversal of the removal procedure. Start
and run the engine for a few minutes then check for leaks.
Top up as necessary with the correct fluid.
See Section 3 Routine Maintenance for renewal of the filter
element.
Note: On machines fitted with the optional High Flow circuit
an additional filter unit is fitted.
