Amphenol Terminal Removal
IMPORTANT: The Ampheno/® pin and socket
terminals are not the same size as Deutsch® pin
and socket terminals.
DO
NOT interchange them.
To
remove a terminal from the plug or receptacle,
lubricate both ends of the cavity with isopropyl
alcohol.

and socket terminals may

replaced if dam-
aged. Strip 1/4
in.

insulation from wire and
crimp new
terminal onto wire with crimping pliers.

Place the plug or receptacle against the edge of a
flat surface with clearance behind connector for
terminal to
be
pushed out. Push terminal from
connector with appropriate
tool.
