Demonstrated crosswind performance
The JS-3 has very good crosswind handling characteristics due to its
polyhedral wing shape allowing high bank angles during touchdown.
The maximum demonstrated crosswind components are:
• During aerotow: 25 km/h (14 kts)
• During winch launch: 25 km/h (14 kts)
• During landing: 30 km/h (16 kts)
NOTE: See Section 4 on Approach and Landing for more
information on landing in crosswinds.
