Why does my Jonsered Trimmer engine not start?

Several factors can prevent your Jonsered Trimmer engine from starting. It could be due to the stop switch being in the stop position, which requires an approved servicing dealer to replace the stop switch. Other potential causes include the starter pawls not moving freely (clean around the starter pawls), incorrect fuel type (drain and refill with the correct fuel), incorrect idle speed adjustment (adjust the idle speed with the idle speed screw T), a dirty or wet spark plug (dry and clean the spark plug), incorrect spark plug electrode gap (clean the spark plug, ensure correct electrode gap, and use a spark plug with a suppressor), a loose spark plug (tighten the spark plug), or a clogged fuel filter (replace the fuel filter).
