Character Generator
You can imake your dwn file, store it in advance and
“superimpose it over the scene being shot.
How to store:
[Press DISPLAY until "SET CHAR” or a titie you
have storéd earlier appears in the viewlinder.
i Press SET.
— CHARACTER SET: MODE screen will appear in
the viewfinder.
El Press. SELECT to move the cursor, and then press
SET to choose the desired characters.
Repeat step EJ to set ail needed characters.
Alter all the desired characters have been
entered, press SET. The CHARACTER SET
MODE screen will disappear, and the stored
characters wilt be displayed.

© Up to ten characters can be stored.
= Only one personally input title can be stored at a
time. To replace it with another lille, proceed as
above again.
INSTANT TITLES.
The VideoMovie has eight pre-set Titles in memory.
One of them can be superimposed above the
Character Generators stored title.
How to superimpose the Title:
Press TITLES as many limes as required until the
desired Title is displayed. The Tite changes in the
sequence below:

™ A personal title stored in the Character Generator

with the Character Generator mode;
consequently, a pair of identical stored tives can
be superimposed.
Notes:
§ The TITLES button is not étfective during recording.
"The Instant Tile cannot be displayed when
PROGRAM AE is set to "AUTO MODE LOCK".

The VideoMovie's Full Range AF system can cffer
continuous’ shooting ability from close-up to infinity,
The rectangular focus area detects focus. (No actual
indication provided in the viewfinder.)
~: Notes:
If the tens is smeared with stains or blurred with
condensation, accurate focusing is not possible.
Keep them clean. If they become dirty, wipe with a
piece of soft cloth. When condensation dccurs, dry
them by wiping with a soft cloth or wait for conditions
in which they become dry.
"Correct focus may not be obtained in these
situations on the left. In such case manual focusing
should be performed to obtain proper focus.
Focus lock
This VideoMovie's focus lock function is especially
useful in the following situations:
= When things pass between your subject and the
VideoMovie, make sure (o engage the, locus lock
function, to lock your subject in focus before
recording.
= If you want your main subject to eppear in a comer
‘of the screen, you should first centre it at the desired
distance, then use the auto foous mode for focusing,
engage the focus lock function, and move the
VideoMovie till the subjeci is where you want it.
To lock the focus:
Press FOCUS LOCK/MAN.
—The focus lock indication (pe4) appears.in the
viewlindes,
To release the focus lock mode (To engage the
Auto Facus mode)
Press FOCUS LOCKMAN. At the moment when the
button is released, the focus lock mode is canceled.
Note:
The Focus Lock function is not available when
PROGRAM AE is set to “AUTO MODE LOCK".
