      If the rear of the LCD monitor of your JVC Camcorder is hot, close the LCD monitor to turn it off or set the Power Switch to “OFF”, and let the unit cool down. The light used to illuminate the LCD monitor causes it to become hot.

      If your JVC Camcorder is not recording, ensure that the tape’s erase protection tab is set to “REC.” Also, check that the Power Switch is set to “ ” or “ ”. Make sure the VIDEO/MEMORY Switch is set to “VIDEO.” If “TAPE END” appears, replace the cassette. Finally, ensure the cassette holder cover is closed. If the VIDEO/MEMORY Switch is set to “VIDEO” set it to “MEMORY.”

      To ensure Picture Wipe and Dissolve functions work during R.A.Edit on your JVC Camcorder, select Picture Wipe or Dissolve before beginning editing, so the effects are automatically activated. Also, do not turn off the camcorder’s power after setting Edit-In and Edit-Out points, as they will all be erased. Make sure you continue operations within 5 minutes after engaging Pause mode.

      If the colors in your JVC Camcorder's Snapshot mode look strange, it could be due to the light source or subject lacking white, or various light sources behind the subject. Try to find a white subject and compose your shot so that it also appears in the frame. Also, check if the Sepia or Monotone mode is activated and turn them off if they are.
