“Channel Locked”
t The selected channel has been locked by the
parental controls. Enter the unlock code when you
are asked. (Page33)
“Incorrect Lock Code”
t The selected channel is a mature or parental lock
channel, and locked by the parental lock or user
lock code. Enter the correct lock code.
Troubleshooting
What appears to be trouble is not always serious.
Check the following points before calling a service
center.
t For operations with the external components,
refer also to the instructions supplied with the
adapters used for the connections (as well as
the instructions supplied with the external
components).
R General
No sound comes out of the speakers.
t Adjust the volume to the optimum level.
t Check the cords and connections.
No picture is displayed on the screen.

The remote controller does not work.
t Replace the battery.
R Discs
Recordable/Rewritable discs cannot be played
back.
t Insert a finalized disc.
t Finalize the discs with the component which you
used for recording.
Tracks on the Recordable/Rewritable discs
cannot be skipped.

Playback does not start.
t The format of files is not supported by the unit.
No picture appears on the external monitor.
t Connect the video cord correctly.

t Select another source, then reselect “iPod”.

t Check the connecting cable and its connection.
t Update the firmware version.
t Charge the battery.
t Reset the iPod/iPhone.
Sound is distorted.
t Deactivate the equalizer either on this unit or the
iPod/iPhone.
A lot of noise is generated.
t Turn off (uncheck) “VoiceOver” on the iPod/

No operations are available when playing back a
