Built-in microphones (L, R)
Stereo recording can be performed using the
microphones. Connecting an external micro-
phone to a MIC jack for one channel on the
left panel of the unit automatically switches
off the built-in microphone of that corre-
sponding channel.
Power indicator
Lights when the power is on.
DIAL LIGHT button
The tuning dial and meters are illuminated by
pressing this button with the power switch
turned on.
METAL indicator
Lights when the TAPE select switch is set to
the METAL position.
4-way meters
The meters function in 4 ways depending on
the MODE/METER switch position.
The right meter indicates the record or play-
back level of the right channel or functions as
a tuning meter.
The left meter indicates the record or play-
back level of the left channel or functions as a
battery checker.
REC MUTE button
Press this button to insert a non-recorded por-
tion on the recorded tape. The non-recorded
portion can be extended for as long as you
keep the button pressed.
Cassette operation buttons
PAUSE button:
Press to temporarily stop the tape when
recording or playing back. A second pressing
of this button releases the pause mode and
re-starts the recording or playback operation.
This button is also employed to make pro-
gram selections (9 — 16) with the MULTI
MUSIC SCANNER.
REC button:
Press this button for recording. The PLAY
button is depressed simultaneously. (One-
touch recording facility.)
PLAY button:
Press to play back the tape.

Eingebaute Mikrofone (Links, Rechts)
Stereo-Aufnahmen kénnen mit den Mikrofonen
hergestellt werden. Der Anschliu& eines externen
Mikrofons an eine Mikrofonbuchse (MIC) fir einen
Kanal an der linken Seite des Gerats, schaltet auto-
matisch das dem Kanal entsprechende, eingebaute
Mikrofon aus.
Netzanzeige
Leuchtet bei eingeschaltetem Gerat auf.
Knopf fiir Skalenbeleuchtung (DIAL LIGHT)
Die Abstimmskala und Mefiinstrumente werden be-
leuchtet, durch Driicken dieses Knopfes bei einge-
schaltetem Netzschalter.
Metallband-Anzeiger (METAL)
Leuchtet auf, wenn der Bandartwahlschalter (TAPE)
auf METAL gestellt ist.
Vierfach-MeRinstrument
Diese MeRinstrumente funktionieren fir vier Anzeigen-
bereiche, entsprechend der Betriebsart/Mefsinstrument-
Schaltereinstellung (MODE/METER).
Das
rechte
Mefinstrument
zeigt
den
Aufnahme-
oder
Wiedergabepegel
des
rechten
Kanals
an,
oder
funk-
tioniert
als
Abstimmanzeige.
Das linke Mefsinstrument zeigt den Aufnahme- oder
Wiedergabepegel des linken Kanals an, oder
funktioniert als Batterieprtifer.
Aufnahmestumm-Knopf (REC MUTE)
Driicken Sie diesen Knopf zum Einfiigen eines un-
bespielten Bandabschnitts auf einem aufnehmenden
Band. Der unbespielte Bandabschnitt kann solange
ausgedehnt werden, wie Sie den Knopf eingedrtckt
halten.
Kndépfe fiir Kassettenbedienung
Pausenknopf (PAUSE):
Driicken Sie ihn zum zeitweiligen Stoppen des Bandes
wahrend Aufnahme oder Wiedergabe. Ein nochmaliges
Driicken dieses Knopfes gibt die Pausen-Betriebsart frei
und startet wieder die Aufnahme oder Wiedergabe.
Dieser Knopf wird ebenfalls zur Programmwahl (9-16)
mit dem automatischen Programmwahlmechanismus
(MULTI MUSIC SCANNER) benutzt.
Aufnahmeknopf (REC):
Driicken Sie diesen Knopf zur Aufnahme. Der Wieder-
gabeknopf
(PLAY)
wird
gleichzeitig
eingedriickt.

Microphones incorporés (gauche, droit)
Ces microphones permettent d’effectuer des enregistre-
ments stéréophoniques. Dés que I’on raccorde un
microphone extérieur 4 I’une des prises micro (MIC) du
panneau latéral gauche de I’appareil, le microphone
incorporé correspondant a ce canal se trouve -auto-
matiquement débranché.
Voyant de mise sous tension
Ce voyant s‘allume pour indiquer que I‘appareil est
sous tension.
Bouton d’éclairage des cadrans (DIAL LIGHT)
Le cadran de syntonisation et les deux modulométres
s‘6clairent lorsqu’on appuie sur ce bouton alors que
l'appareil est sous tension.
Voyant indicateur de réglage bande METAL
Ce voyant s’allume lorsque le sélecteur de bande
(TAPE) est réglé sur la position METAL.
Modulométres quatre fonctions
Les modulométres servent quatre fonctions différents
selon le réglage du commutateur combiné de mode/
modulométre (MODE/METER).
Le modulométre de droite indique le niveau d’enre-
gistrement ou de reproduction du canal de droite, ou
bien sert d’indicateur d’accord pour la réception radio.
Le modulométre de gauche indique le niveau d’enre-
gistrement ou de reproduction du canal de gauche, ou
bien sert d’indicateur d’état des piles.
Touche de silencieux d’enregistrement (REC MUTE)
Appuyer sur cette touche pour insérer en cours d’en-
registrement un espace non enregistré sur une bande.
Cette insersion d’un “blanc” dure tant qu’on maintient
la touche de silencieux d’enregistrement (REC MUTE)
en position enfoncée.
Touches de commande du mouvement de la bande
Touche de PAUSE:
Appuyer sur cette touche pour interrompre momen-
tanément le mouvement de la bande en cours d’enre-
gistrement ou de reproduction. Si on appuie une
seconde fois sur la touche, le mode de pause se trouve
libéré et enregistrement ou la reproduction reprennent
immédiatement. Cette touche s‘emploie aussi pour la
sélection des programmes (9 — 16) avec le systéme
de balayage de recherche MMS Multi Music Scanner.
Touche d’enregistrement (REC):
Appuyer sur cette touche pour effectuer un enregistre-
ment. La touche de lecture (PLAY) s’enfonce simul-
tanément. (Dispositif d’enregistrement par touche
unique.}
