Why does the remote control not work with my JVC RX-DP15B Receiver?

Multiple issues could be causing this. First, ensure the ZONE 1/ZONE 2 selector is correctly set. Next, check that the TV operation mode selector is correctly set to either “TV” or “CATV/DBS.” Also, verify that the BAND 1/2 selectors on the rear and on the remote control are set to the same band. Weak batteries can also be the culprit, so try replacing them. If RF communication is interrupted, consult your dealer.

Several factors could be at play. Ensure your speaker signal cables are correctly connected. Verify that the SPEAKERS 1 and SPEAKERS 2 buttons are properly set. Confirm that the correct source is selected for Zone 1 and that muting isn't activated. Also, check if the input mode (analog or digital) is correctly selected. Finally, double-check all connections.

What to do if the STANDBY lamp starts flashing and the JVC RX-DP15B Receiver turns off?
    • D
      Danielle FrenchAug 6, 2025
This usually happens when the speakers are overloaded. This can be due to high volume in either Zone 1 or Zone 2, or a short circuit in the speaker terminals. Try turning the receiver back on by pressing the (STANDBY/ON) button on the front panel and adjusting the volume. Check the speaker wires for any short circuits. If the lamp continues to flash after resolving any wiring issues, it is recommended to consult your dealer.

Why is there no sound from the front speakers in Zone 2 on my JVC RX-DP15B Receiver?
    • M
      Mary SweeneyAug 11, 2025
There could be several reasons for this. Check that the speaker signal cables are properly connected. Make sure the Zone 1/2 setting for the speakers connected to the FRONT 2/ZONE 2 SPEAKERS terminals are correctly set to use them as Zone 2 front speakers. Ensure the amplifier connected to the ZONE 2 PREOUT is turned on. Verify that the correct source is selected for Zone 2 and muting is not activated for Zone 2. Also, ensure you've made analog connections for Zone 2.

    • J
      Jacqueline DelgadoAug 15, 2025
Hissing or buzzing during FM reception often indicates a weak incoming signal. Try connecting an outdoor FM antenna or consult your dealer. The station might be too far away, so try selecting a new station. Ensure you are using the correct antenna and that all antenna connections are properly made.
