Adjustment of PATTERN FOCUS VR @ This adjustment should be performed after
FOCUS GENERATOR [Standard setting of CONTRAST].
1. Input the cross hatch signal.
2. Adjust the FOCUS VR to a position where the
vertical and horizontal lines of cross hatch become
thinnest and clearest.
Note: Be sure to perform final adjustment of the
convergence after adjustment of focus, since
the convergence will be changed whenever

Adjustment of PATTERN o R505 (H Set the CONTRAST VR on the front panel to the

SYNCHRONISM . Input the color bar signal.
SHORT JUMPER . Connect TP-33A and TP-E with a short jumper.
. Adjust the H. HOLD VR (R505) to a position where
the image remains at a standstill without flowing
horizontally.
eNamely, adjust the VR to an intermediate position
MAIN PCB where the image flows horizontally.
R379 . Remove the connected short jumper.
TP-70 ™ C334 R505 @ a P . Make sure that the color synchronism is not collapsed
TP-33A @ © and normal image appears instantaneously when
returned to the color bar signal again after changing
the input select switch.
Adjustment of H | PATTERN ~ C334 . Input the color bar signal.
GENERATOR R379 (PULSE . Connect the oscilloscope to TP-64 and TP-70,set to
PHASE) the dual-trace and increase the SYNC section.
OSCILLOSCOPE . Adjust with C334 so that the SYNC forward line of
the Y signal and the start of the H PULSE coéncide.

Coincidence
. Confirm that the waveform phase dose not slip even
when the pulse cross SW is pressed.
. If the phase slips,use R379 to adjust so that the H
PULSE dose not come to the left side (leading phase)
of the SYNC of Y signal.
