Antes de instalar la cerradura usted debe
determinar las tres cosas siguientes:
• La dirección del movimiento de la
puerta
• El espesor de la puerta
• La
distancia de entrada de la puer-
ta.
Dirección del movimiento
La dirección del movimiento de la puerta
se determina desde el exterior, mientras
está cerrada (desde el lado donde están
los botones). Ver las figuras 1-1 y 1-2.
AD - La puerta se abre hacia la derecha.
La puerta se abre hacia dentro (empu-
jar) y los goznes están a la derecha.
AI - La puerta se abre hacia la izquierda.
La puerta se abre hacia dentro (empu-
jar) y los goznes están a la izquierda.
ADI - Apertura hacia la derecha, bisel
invertido. La puerta se abre hacia fuera
(tirar). Los goznes están a la derecha.
AII - Apertura hacia la izquierda, bisel
invertido. La puerta se abre hacia fuera
(tirar). Los goznes están a la izquierda.
Espesor
Mida el espesor de la puerta en el borde
(A). Ver la figura 1-3.
Distancia de entrada
La distancia de entrada es la distancia del
centro de la cerradura hasta el borde de la
puerta (B); ver la figura 1-3. Esta distancia
mide normalmente 60 mm (2
3
⁄8") ó 70 mm
(2
3
⁄4"). La medida debe tomarse en la
superficie interior para las puertas que
abren hacia dentro y en la superficie exte-
rior para las puertas que abren hacia
fuera.

Hand
The hand of the door is determined with the
door in the closed position, from the exteri-
or (pushbutton side) of the door. See fig-
ures 1-1 and 1-2
RH - Right hand door. Door opens inward
(push). Hinged on the right side.
LH - Left hand door. Door opens inward
(push). Hinged on the left side.
RHR - Right hand reverse bevel door.
Door opens outward (pull). Hinged on
the right side.
LHR - Left hand reverse bevel door. Door
opens outward (pull). Hinged on the left
side.
Thickness
Measure the thickness of the door on the
edge of the door (A). See figure 1-3.
Backset
Backset is the distance from the center of
the lock to the edge of the door (B); see fig-
ure 1-3. This measurement is usually 2

⁄8"
(60 mm) or 2
3
⁄4" (70 mm). Measure on the
inside surface for inswing doors and on the
outside surface for outswing doors.

MD - Main droite. La porte ouvre vers l’in-
térieur (en la poussant). Charnières à
droite.
MG - Main gauche. La porte ouvre vers
l’intérieur (en la poussant). Charnières à
gauche .
MDI - Main droite inversée. La porte ouvre
vers l’extérieur (en la tirant). Charnières
à droite.
MGI - Main gauche inversée. La porte
ouvre vers l’extérieur (en la tirant).
Charnières à gauche.
Épaisseur
Mesurez l’épaisseur de porte sur le chant
de la porte(A). Voir figure 1-3.
Distance d’entrée
Il s’agit de la distance du centre de la ser-
rure au chant de porte (B); voir figure
1-3. En général, cette distance mesure 60
mm (2
3
⁄8") ou 70 mm (2
3
⁄4"). Mesurez-la sur
le côté intérieur des portes ouvrant vers
l’intérieur et sur le côté extérieur des portes
ouvrant vers l’extérieur.
