The knob, which is pressed over the mete

ring valve is turned counter

clockwise to
screw the tapered end of the metering spind

le out of the metering bore.
If the metering spindle is turned counter

clockwise
as
far as it will go, then a large
quantity of detergent will be drawn into the
water flow
.
If the spindle is turned clockwi

se
as
far as it will go, the valve will be
completely closed and there will be no flow
of detergent.

Nozzle setting
At normal working pressure (with the 2

way
nozzle set to full jet
25"), there is no deter
-
gent feed. Detergent is only drawn into the
water flow when working at low pressure,
using the fan
-
jet nozzle (with the nozzle
turned to
"
CHEM
"
).

Switching the 2

way nozzle
On Karcher570cleaners, the guard overthe

-
way nozzle is turned to low
-
pressure fan
-
jet (CHEM).
