Card connectors 
All connections will need to be made before the card is installed in the mainframe. Because the card 
is rated at higher voltage than the mainframe, no backplane connectors are provided internal to the 
card. Ensure that any signals connected to the multimeter or mainframe are limited to the allowable 
ratings of the device. For more information about wire connections, see 
Wire selection and 
preparation (on page 3-2).

Card installation 
Slot covers must be installed on unused slots to prevent personal contact with high voltage 
circuits. Failure to recognize and observe standard safety precautions could result in 
personal injury or death due to electric shock.
