The amount o f de tergent needed can vary due to differe nce s in water hardness. To determine t he water hardness in your ar ea ,
contact your l oca l water uti lity or area w ater softeni ng company. The harder the water , the mo re detergent you may need.
Remember, you should adjust the amount of detergent you use by small amounts until you find the correct amount.
Proper Use of Detergent
Removing Hard Water Spots
To remove hard water spots, try the following:
Run d i shes thr ough a norma l w ash pr ogr am.
Remov e al l me tal di shw are , s uch as cutle ry , pans , e tc. ,
from the dishwasher.
Do no t add dete rge nt.
Pour two c ups of v ine gar i nto a bowl a nd s et the bowl fa ce
up on the lower rack of the dishwasher.
Run the di shes through a norm al wash pr og ram .
If this doe sn't work, try the same process with 1 / 4 cup of
citric acid crystals inste ad of vinegar.
Use only detergent specifically made for use in dishwashers.
Keep your detergent fresh and dry. Don't put powder detergent
into the dispenser until You're ready to wash dishes.
RINSE AID DISPENSER
The rinse aid is released during the final rinse to prevent water
from forming droplets on your dishes that can leave spots and
streaks. It also improves drying by allowing water to "sheet" off
the dis hes .
Your dishwas hers are designed to use liquid rinse aids. The
rinse aid dispenser is located inside the door next to the
detergent dispenser. To fill the dispenser, open the cap and
pour the rinse aid into the dispenser until the level indicator
turns completely black. The dispenser holds about 100 ml of
liquid rinse aid.
Be careful not to overfill the dispenser, because this could
cause ov er sudsi ng. Wi pe away any spills wi th a da mp cloth.
Don't forget to replace the cap before you close the dishwasher
door.
If you hav e soft water , you may not nee d rinse aid for it may
cause a white film to develop on your dis hes .

DETERGENT DISPENSER
To open the dispenser, turn the cap to the "open" (left)
arrow and lift it out.
Pour the ri nse a id into the dis pense r, bei ng c ar eful not to
overfill.
Replace the cap by inse rti ng it aligned with "open" arrow
and turning it to the closed (right) arrow.
Adjusting Rinse Aid Dispenser
A mea sure d amount of rinse aid is rel eas ed during the final rins e. As w ith dete rge nt, the am ount
of rinse aid needed for your dishes depends on the hardness of the wa ter i n your a rea. Too muc h
rinse aid can result in lather of foaming and cause cloudiness or ste ak s on your di shes. If the
water in your area is very soft, you ma y not need rinse aid. If you do,you c an dilute the rinse aid
wi th an eq u al am ount o f wa ter.
The rinse aid di spens er ha s si x se ttings. Al wa ys s tar t with the d is pens er s et on " 1 ". If spots a nd
poor drying are probl em s, increase the amount of rins e aid dispensed by removing the di spe nser
lid and rotating the dial to "2". If the dishes still are not drying properly or a re spotted, adjust the
dial to the next higher number until your dishes are spot-free. We suggest you to set on "4" .
