TO REGULATE THE TENSION
If upper tension
is too loose,
under thread
draws
upper
thread down, thus
forming' a small knot
or
loops, as
shown in
Fig. 11 (A).
If
upper
tension
is too tight,
under thread
is drawn
up
as
shown
in Fig. 11 (B).

lock in the
center of the
material
when
tension
is properly set.

should be regulated

at the
