How to clean the dies of my Kenwood AX910?
    • K
      Keith GreeneAug 15, 2025
If the dies of your Kenwood Mixer are difficult to clean, always clean them immediately after use and don't allow the mix to dry onto the die. Use the tool provided; the thicker end of the tool is ideal for cleaning the larger holes on the Maccheroni rigati die, whilst the thinner end is suitable for cleaning other dies.

What to do if the feed tube keeps blocking on my Kenwood AX910?
    • K
      Kevin PierceAug 18, 2025
If the feed tube of your Kenwood Mixer keeps blocking, try adding small amounts of pasta at a time at a steady rate, and only add more when the feed tube is clear. It may also be that the mix is too wet. You can also use the end of the spanner/pusher to push the mix down the feed tube. Removing the hopper will enable the spanner to reach lower down the feed tube. Varying the speed of adding the mix can also help.

Why doesn’t pasta come out of the holes in my Kenwood Mixer?
    • R
      robinyoungAug 21, 2025
If pasta isn’t coming out of the holes in your Kenwood Mixer, make sure the dies are clean before starting; any dried pasta in the holes will prevent extrusion. Also, check that the feed tube is not blocked. Using the spanner/pusher can help feed the pasta onto the scroll.

What to do if pasta shapes are ragged when using my Kenwood AX910 Mixer?
    • P
      Patricia PerryAug 25, 2025
If the pasta shapes from your Kenwood Mixer are ragged, sometimes the first pasta extruded is slightly ragged. Add the pasta mix at a constant steady rate, and try adjusting the rate at which the mix is added. You can also warm the body, die, and ring nut in hot water and dry thoroughly before using.

What to do if the die doesn’t fit onto the scroll of my Kenwood AX910 Mixer?
    • K
      kimberlybaileySep 3, 2025
If the die doesn’t fit onto the scroll of your Kenwood Mixer, check that the center hole in the die is cleared of any dry mix from previous tests. Also, check that if you are changing dies during operation, there is no mix between the die and scroll preventing it from fitting flush.

Why does the quality of extruded pasta vary in my Kenwood AX910?
    • G
      gleonardSep 7, 2025
The quality of the extruded pasta varying throughout the mix is normal for Kenwood Mixers, but can be minimised by ensuring the mix is of a fairly even consistency to start with, adding the mix to the pasta maker at a steady rate, ensuring that all the mix is extruded in one batch, and ensuring the mix is not allowed to dry out.

Why is the appearance of the pasta rough when using my Kenwood AX910?
    • A
      Andrew CaseySep 12, 2025
The screens/dies are specifically made of bronze. A feature of the bronze die is that it gives the pasta a rough surface which is preferred as it allows any accompanying sauce to stick.
