-----Memory Programming----
Program a Simplex Frequency
Step 1 - Direct Keypad Freq Entry to VFO
1. [VFO][A/B] to select VFO A or B
Ө
Sub-band will auto select by entering freq.
VFO A=118 or 2M; VFO B= 2M or 70cm
2. [VFO][ENT] Use Keypad & enter 6 digits
Step 2 Save VFO Freq to Memory Channel
1. [F][MR]; Channel Num Blinks
Ө
“ ” indicates the current channel is empty; “
”is
displayed if the channel contains data.
2. [UP/DWN] to select desired memory channel
3. [OK] to save & exit
Step 3 Labeling (Naming) Memory Channels
1. [F][9] use keypad enter Name (8 characters)
2. Press [OK] twice to save & exit
Program a Standard Repeater Frequency
Step 1 - Direct Keypad Freq Entry to VFO
1. [VFO][A/B] to select VFO A or B
Ө Sub-band will auto select by entering freq.
VFO A=118 or 2M; VFO B= 2M or 70cm
2. [VFO][ENT] Use Keypad & enter 6 digits
Step 2 Program Repeater Offset direction (+/-)
Ө
Go to Step 5 if Access Tone not required.
1. [F][MHz] “+” or”-“ appears to indicate which
offset direction.
Step 3 Activate Tone Function (if Required)
1. [F][1] to switch the Tone function ON (or OFF)
Step 4 Select a Tone Frequency (if Required)
1. [F][2] to select TONE FREQ
2. [UP/DWN] to select appropriate tone Frequency.
3. [OK] to save & exit
Step 5 Save VFO Freq to Memory Channel
1. [F][MR]; Channel Num Blinks

[MR] to clear contents (pg 13*)
Clear Memory Channel
[VFO] Select Freq & related data
[F][CALL] to store (pg 30*)
Select Sub-Band (pg 12*)
[VFO] to select VFO mode then [F][A/B]
(Band A TX 144-148 MHz, Sub-Band RX118-174 MHz, Band B
TX/RX 430-450 MHz Sub-Band RX 400-480 MHz, 144-148)
Display Channel Labels (Names) or frequency

f] Memory Name to Freq (pg 29*)
Copy Memory Contents to VFO
Recall Desired Memory Channel [F][VFO] (pg 31*)
Checking Repeater Input Frequency (Reverse)
[REV] Auto Simplex Check (pg 24*)
Automatic Simplex Check (ASC)
[REV] (1s) to switch on. Inverse “R” displayed
Press [REV] to quit (pg 24*)
Setting Power Level
[F][MENU] Adjust Power Output (pg 9*)
Channel Display
[A/B] + POWER ON (pg 31*)
BACKLIGHT DISPLAY HOLD ON
[F][LAMP] SELECT ON or OFF
Receiver Power Save-Sampling Rate
[MENU] 1-2-1 Select desired interval
Squelch Level Adjustment
[F][MONI] Adjust Squelch (pg 8*)
Tone Freq ID
[F] [2] (1s) Scans through all tone freq
Press [OK] (1s) to activate
Press [ESC] to quit (pg 25*)
Tone Freq ID
[F] [2] (1s) Scans through all tone freq

Program CALL transmit Freq
Select the desired transmit freq
[F][PTT] + [CALL] (pg 30*)
Partial or Full Reset
[F]+POWER ON

VFO- All Tuneable Freq’s [VFO] (1s)
Memory-Freq’s in Memory [MR] (1s)
MHz-All Freq’s in 1 MHz range [MHz] (1s)
Program-Freq’s in Programmed Range
[A/B] select Band
[VFO] select lower limit [F][MR] L0-L9,[OK]
Select upper limit [F][MR] U0-U9, [OK]
CALL/VFO-[VFO] select freq, [CALL] (1s)
CALL/Memory-[CALL] (1s)
CANCEL SCAN- [ESC]
Scan [MENU] 1-5-2
Time-Stops on Busy Freq 5 seconds then continue
Carrier- Stops on Busy Freq 2 seconds then continues
Seek- Stops on first busy freq
