RS-232 and VISCA Command Protocol
• Baud Rate = 9600 bits per second
• Data Bits = 8
• Stop Bits = 1
• Parity = None
• Flow Control = None
• Commands should be sent in all caps.
• Underscore ("_") character at end of each RS-232 command must be included
• Carriage return and line feed is required at the end of each string.
Command Notes
• For VISCA control, the first byte of each command is 8x, where x is the address of the camera as
assigned by the dip switch position
• For RS-232 commands, the character y is the address of the camera, as assigned by the dip switch
position
• Some commands contain parameter values, as indicated by p, p1, p2
