Firmware Upgrades
To Check the Current Firmware Revision
—Press System(7).
— Press Service Diagnostics.
—Press System Information.
The current firmware version is indicated on the “Firmware Release” line.
For information on upgrading FieldFox firmware, go to
www.keysight.com/find/fieldfoxsupport.
If the firmware upgrade process is interrupted, memory contents in the
instrument may become corrupted. If a problem is suspected, consider doing a
fresh installation of the firmware. Follow the process under “Install Firmware
from SD Card” near the end of Chapter 7.
See the “Firmware Related Information” section of Chapter 5 for details on
what happens during the firmware update process.
Miscellaneous Service and Maintenance
Cleaning the Display
Materials: Use a soft, lint-free cloth. Use a solution with 99.5% IPA (isopropyl
alcohol) or a high quality window cleaning solution.
Technique: Do not rub back and forth with a polishing motion. Use a single
swipe from the soiled location to the nearest edge of the display.
Battery Maintenance
See the “Working with the Lithium-Ion Battery” section of the FieldFox User’s
Guide for information on the removable battery. In particular, see “Built-In
Battery Gauge” and “Reconditioning the Battery”.
